two views of the Utah D-STAR landscape: featured systems with full detail, then the complete RepeaterBook listing with on-air status.
Featured systems
Utah's main sponsored D-STAR repeaters. Status badges are auto-refreshed from
dstarusers.org last-heard data.
Unknown means no traffic has been reported in the last 90 days; the system may simply be quiet,
may not run DSTARMonitor, or may be off the air. Confirmed recent activity right now is concentrated on NU7TS,
K7BSK, and N7RDS.
Skyline Radio Club system. The 2 m C module sits on the Redmond water tank; the 70 cm B module is at Sterling. Provides D-STAR coverage to a chunk of central Utah that would otherwise be without it.
Historically the flagship Salt Lake D-STAR system, located at the KSL TV5 facility on Farnsworth Peak. Sponsored by the National Weather Service Salt Lake City; trustee K7JL. Coverage spans the Wasatch Front from the Idaho border south to Lehi, and west into Nevada.
Salt Lake County ARES system at Intermountain Medical Center. Voice plus 23 cm digital data. With its gateway disabled this is local RF only. It does not connect to REF029, any reflector, or the multi-mode bridge. Local operators also report the D-STAR stack at IMC is being relocated (May 2026). To reach REF029 from Salt Lake County right now, use DMR or a hotspot.
